Amazon Spring Waters Recursos Minerais S/A (ASW) is a Brazilian Company, which owns the mineral rights for the extraction and worldwide distribution of Spring/ Mineral water from the project source. 

The Project

The project is sited in Parana State, Brazil where ASW has two qualified wells and has the opportunity of acquiring/developing a further two wells on the site. 

The water source is situated on 30,467m2 of freehold land, being part of Curitiba’s Metropolitan Area Karst
Aquifer System. The land where the identified water sources are found is a freehold property owned by ASW.

ASW has developed the project since acquiring the land nearly 10 years ago.

A fulltime process, which saw first permits issued to ASW on 24 June 2002 and the final licenses and approvals only delivered in mid 2011, the timeframes involved illustrate the time required to and also the difficulty in obtaining such licenses.

During this time, ASW has conducted significant research and testing of the resource and the water. The company has also complied with all geological, commercial and legal requirements as dictated by the Brazilian Government and now holds all requisite permits and licenses to commence commercializing the project.

The Opportunity

With concerns about contaminants in the public water supplies running high, particularly in markets affected by recent natural catastrophes, many are turning to bottled water to alleviate fears and demand is soaring. 

Spring and Mineral bottled water are choices that offer distinct advantages, both in stable commercial markets and also in the aforementioned crisis affected markets where bottled water is, in many cases, no longer being viewed as a luxury but as a necessity.

There has been a worldwide explosion of Spring and Mineral bottled water sales. It has become the most dynamic sector of the refreshment beverage market.

With global demand increasing significantly every year the bottled water market continues to be one of the fastest growing and dynamic sectors of the beverage industry.

ASW’s water source is capable of generating in approximately of 192.5 Million litres of water per annum from the primary well. This volume could be increased to approximately 400 million litres per annum merely by the further development of the site.

This makes ASW a significant water resource by any measurement and one that represents great potential for any qualified investor.
